The Proposal!

After dating for three years, we decided to go on a vacation.  Because funds were low we decided to take off to Disney for a week.  We both love the atmosphere of Disney and were surprised how easy the vacation fell into place.  The picture above was taken at MCO around 12:00 PM.  We woke up at 4:30 AM to get to the airport but surprisingly we don't look too tired.

We ended up staying at Port Orleans French Quarter, a fantastic resort! We arrived on August 24th. After check in, we went straight to Hollywood Studios.  We went on all the rides and saw Fantasmic. At this point it was around 9:00 pm. Because we woke up so early I was exhausted and wanted to head back to the resort. C thought we should go over to the Magic Kingdom to see the fireworks. After a bit of convincing we went off to see Cinderella's castle.

We got to the Magic Kingdom at 9:55 pm - the fireworks were set to start at 10. Perfect timing! We found a great spot to stand on Main Street. I actually started to cry when they dimmed the lights and the show started - partly because I was exhausted but also I was just so happy to be there at that moment.

Halfway through the show, I tried to hold C's hand but he wasn't picking up on the cue. He eventually put his arms around my shoulders. All of a sudden I could see he had something in his hand. C opened the box and asked "Will you marry me?". My response, "Are you serious?!" followed quickly by "YES!". I was completely surprised.  I will remember that moment for the rest of my life! Needless to say, the rest of the vacation was perfect - just like the proposal.
